Halloween at Apple Valley
Apple Valley will celebrate Halloween at school on Monday, October 31. It is a regular Monday Early Out Day. School will be out at 2:30.
Policy for costumes at school:

No weapons or pretend weapons
-
No colored hair, but wigs are ok
-
No face paint
-
No masks (can be worn during the parade)
Hats off to Red Ribbon Week!
All week long we have been celebrating Red Ribbon week with different dress up themes. On Friday we all wore hats to show that we can use our head and be drug and bully free. We loved seeing all of the great hats!

first grade coders
Mrs Plowman's first grade class is really enjoying learning about coding. So cool to see what they can do!
Menu change on Halloween
Parents, please be aware that our breakfast and lunch menu has changed for Halloween, Mon Oct 31. The menu for Halloween is going to be switched with the November 2nd menu.
Place value Pirates!
Our second graders have been learning about place values all month. Today they put their skills to the test on a place value pirate treasure hunt. All classes made it to the treasure box!

3rd grade leaf rubbings
Mrs Smith's third grade recently learned about leaf rubbings from Mrs Liddle. The class had so much fun rubbing different leaf patterns and then creating pictures out of various leaves. What a great way to enjoy Fall!
