For Fun Friday last week, first grade learned all about creepy crawly Spiders! They learned that spiders are arachnids, made spider friends, did spider math and spooky the spider came to visit!

This week our super student council members, Sam and Pyper, chose to interview Mrs. Nielson, our amazing PE teacher. This is what they learned about her:

Each student was chosen by the teachers of that grade. We are so proud of them for working hard, staying positive, and being a good friend. They really are SUPERHEROES! We want to thank them and the staff being honored this month for making Apple Valley so great!
The book fair is here all week Oct 18-21. They will be open before school from 8:30-9:00 am and after school from 3:15-4:15.

We had so many wonderful pictures turned in for the Santaquin Fire Dept coloring contest. Thank you students for participating and giving it your best work! One picture from each grade was chosen by the fire department to win a back pack full of goodies. Congrats to our winners:

Mrs Tucker's first grade class was so lucky today to have a special guest, a wonderful witch that came to read Room on the Broom with their class. We are glad she was able to come visit for a spell.

Our first grade students have the opportunity to earn a free book by completely filling in their take home reading log. Today three girls in Mrs Snow's class all finished and got to choose a book! Way to go Claire, Swayzie, and Jaizlynn!
3rd grade learned about different landforms and even got to make their own 3-D models of different landforms that they sculpted and painted.
