This week our 2nd grade classes had an amazing fieldtrip at the Youth Forest in Diamond Fork Canyon. They learned about different habitats; wading in a stream to look for fish and bugs, hiking to look for wildlife and tracks, and birdwatching. It was an awesome day in the mountains! 

30 of our student council members were able to attend a student council Conference at BYU yesterday. It was a great day to meet students from other schools as they competed to gather the most school stickers. The highlight of the day was listening to 5 great speakers who used magic, funny videos, stories, and personal examples to teach them about leadership, making a positive change at our school, the importance of being respectful to everyone, and how to be great role models.

Our student council members, Brexton and Wyatt, got to choose a member of our faculty to interview this week. They chose to interview one of our amazing second grade teachers, Mrs Lisonbee. Here is what they learned about her:

Our amazing PE teacher, Mrs Nielsen was honored last night at the miss santaquin pageant with the Santaquin Woman of Service award. Celesta received the honor due to her consistent service and love for the community. She is sunshine and warms everyone around her with love, acceptance, and an abundance of kindness and energy. We are so lucky to have her at our school. We love you Mrs Nielsen!
