Whereas, the vision, dedication, and determination of a school principal provides the stable force behind schools;

Whereas, principals have many roles in the education of their students and are entrusted with the dedication and development of young people; and,

Whereas, we recognize the outstanding elementary, middle level, and high school principals who have succeeded in providing high-quality learning opportunities for students;

Each Friday is our day to wear our school colors! You can wear your Apple Valley school shirts, or any shirt that is maroon or gray. Every class takes count of how many are wearing school colors, and that goes towards the school's total count. Once we, as a school, hit 1,800, EVERY student recieves a surprise! Let's spread the word and all wear maroon or gray!!!

We will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week at school next week! To participate, check the flyer for each days activity. Remember to wear your bracelet each day to show your pledge to be drug AND bully free!

Mrs. Lisonbee's 2nd grade class decorated pumpkins at home, snuck them to school, and then wrote a description of their pumpkins using awesome adjectives.  They set all the pumpkins out and a student came up and described their pumpkin.  If the other students could choose the right pumpkin, the student describing it got extra rewards for the day. Look how creative these kids are!

Today happens to be National Inner Beauty Day and we asked a few kids what inner beauty meant to them. We had some amazing responses! Make sure to scroll through the pictures and tag parents so they can see their amazing students!

Emery "It means that they have a good heart and don't want to be judged on the outside, but on the inside. Like if they are nice."

Maren: "It's like how you don't judge a book by it's cover, you should judge it by what's on the inside. Same for people."

Payson: "Inner beauty means you have a caring heart."
