indian caucus day performance

Two of our students, BJ and Kizzy, were able to perform at the State Capitol as part of the Title VI Indian Education performing arts group.

The Utah Department of Indian Affairs invited our district Title VI Indian Education performing arts group to attend American Indian Caucus Day at the Utah State Capitol. The students have been diligently practicing a play called, "The Moccasin Shoe Game." This play was based on a Children's book entitled, "The Moccasin Show Game-Navajo Legend" written by Harold Casey Jr. Our students did an amazing job performing the play in front of tribal leaders, politicians, and the Utah Native American community.

Apple Valley is so proud of the great job they did!
