Nebo School District has resources for Mental Health. Every month there will be virtual classes offered Mon-Thurs at 5pm and 7pm. There is also a live 'Ask a Therapist' evening. We will have a link to the monthly calendar, in English and Spanish, available on our website under the counseling tab with links to register for any zoom session.
Apple Valley Elementary will celebrate Halloween next Thursday, October 31.
Policy for costumes at school:
-No weapons or pretend weapons
-No colored hair, but wigs are ok
-No face paint
-No masks, but can be worn during the parade
We will have our costume parade at 2:45 p.m. This is held outside the school, and parents are welcome to attend. Please refer to your email for a map showing green areas where parents can sit or stand. As you park, please do not block our west-side bus lane.
Students will make one loop walking counter clockwise around the whole school. The parade takes about 10-20 minutes. Students will then return to their classrooms to pack up and wait for the regular 3:15 release time. We ask that parents do not check out students at this busy time if possible, but wait for the bell to ring at 3:15.
Preschoolers and AM Kindergarten students are not participating in this parade. Your teacher will reach out to you with alternative Halloween plans.
Thank you
As cold weather approaches, our lost and found grows. If your students are missing coats or lunchboxes, please have them check the lost and found in the office. Adding a label to lunchboxes and coats really helps us in returning lost items to their owner.
