SCHOOL LUNCH
Students eating school breakfast and lunch will be charged daily. Plan to pay for meals in advance. Delinquent lunch accounts are sent to collections.
To pay for school lunch, your student can bring cash or check to the lunchroom OR you can pay with a card online through your iCampus Parent Portal under Food Services.
We also encourage all families to apply for free and reduced lunch. You may access the application by going to your iCampus Parent Portal menu. Scroll down to More and click on Meal Benefits. As a reminder, households must apply every year to confirm eligibility for free or reduced-price meals .
If you do not qualify for free or reduced-price meals, the cost for elementary will be:
$1.50 Breakfast
$2.00 Lunch
KINDERGARTEN CLASS PLACEMENT
On August 7th, you will be able to see your students' teacher in the iCampus Parent Portal. As of now, we have been able to accommodate the Full-Day, AM or PM preferences of all students who have registered. For those who change their preference or register for Kindergarten after August 1, we may not be able to accommodate preferences.
SCHOOL SAFETY
As you enter our school, you will notice many new safety enhancements. These include locking doors between our foyer, halls and office. We are excited any time we can improve safety measures for our students and staff. However, some of these new features may still be under construction as school begins. Thank you for your patience as construction is finished this fall.
New safety protocol will include parents presenting their ID at the camera near the front office door. Office staff will then be able to "buzz" you in to the office. As in past years, we will continue to foster school safety by having staff (rather than parents) make all deliveries to students. This includes class birthday treats.
Please attend our Open House events to help your student practice navigating to their new classroom in the school. On the first day of school, parents will not be permitted beyond the foyer. If you are concerned with your student finding their classroom that morning, school staff will be happy to walk them to class.
This will also be the case with Kindergarten students. Beginning with the second day of Kindergarten, parents will not be allowed past the foyer to walk students to classrooms.
DROP OFF TIMES
The front doors of the school will open at 8:45 each morning, and students can wait in the glass foyer until 8:50 when the first bell rings. Students who eat breakfast at school can be dropped off at 8:30 a.m. They will walk around the back of the school and enter through the east doors near the cafeteria where breakfast is served.
