The 6th graders had the opportunity to hear from an Utah author. Lance Conrad said, "His passion for writing come from the belief that ther are great lessons to be learned as we struggle with our favorite characters in fiction." Lance talked to the students about how descriptive writing, editing, and revision are important when writing. He also said, "writers write about their own experiences. If you feel you have nothing to write about, go explore the world." It took Lance 8 years to write his very first book, The Prince of Creation.
