Our cute second graders had an apple fun-filled learning day today, as well! They used apples to make graphs and tallys (then they got to enjoy them with some yummy caramel!) Then we had a special guest today! Johnny Appleseed himself! Ok the kids where quick to recognize Mr. Argyle, but man did they love his outfit (no shoes and a pan for a hat!) He told them the story of Johnny Appleseed and many good things he did, including planting apple trees, caring for nature and the animals. These cute kiddos had a great time listening and learning all about Johnny Appleseed and why we celebrate him today!
