Ms. Rowley's class was learning all about colors and how two colors mixed together make new colors! After they mixed the jars of colors together, they got to color their favorite color combos in their journals and write what they learned! We have some smart (and darling) kiddos over here!

Our cute second graders had an apple fun-filled learning day today, as well! They used apples to make graphs and tallys (then they got to enjoy them with some yummy caramel!) Then we had a special guest today! Johnny Appleseed himself! Ok the kids where quick to recognize Mr. Argyle, but man did they love his outfit (no shoes and a pan for a hat!) He told them the story of Johnny Appleseed and many good things he did, including planting apple trees, caring for nature and the animals.

Our cute first graders learned all about Johnny Appleseed today! They even got to make their own applesauce! As fun as this lesson was, the school definitely appreciated the yummy smell the 1st grade hall was giving us!

We had 6 celebrations in our school today! We have had numerous people around our school report to the office of certain classes that have been setting THE best examples. We wanted to make sure these amazing students behavior and examples didn't go uncredited! We made our way to Ms. Brandley's 1st grade class, Ms. Lisonbee's 2nd grade class, Mr. Vernon's 3rd grade class, Ms. Weeks' 4th grade class, Ms. Middlebrook's 5th grade class, and Ms. Nelson's 6th grade class. These classrooms each demonstated quietly walking in the hallways and excellent behavior in the lunchroom! Way to go guys!

This is the first year of Santaquin's Fire and EMS department color contest! Each grade has a different picture to color and turn in. Entries will be judged on October 6th so please make sure to have your child's picture finished, turned in, and their name written on the back along with their teacher's name. We are so excited for this new traditon to help us prepare for Fire Prevention Week October 7th-11th.
