2nd grade fieldtrip
Last week, 2nd grade had a fantastic fieldtrip up Spanish Fork Canyon where the rangers taught them about wildlife and nature. It was a lot of fun and the kids learned so much.

This week our student council members, Melody and Millie, chose to interview Ms Rowley, one of our wonderful Kindergarten teachers. Here is what they learned about her:

Our lost and found is overflowing. If your student is missing a jacket, coat, or lunchbox, please have them come check in the lost and found.
We want to give a big shout-out to the winners of the Santaquin Fire Dept Coloring Contest. We had so many entries and great pictures for the fire dept to judge. The winning pictures will be on display at the Fire Dept tonight during their fire prevention open house.

In 2022, Taylyn Healey (9) contracted Henoch-Schonlein purpura (HSP, also known as IgA vasculitis), a disease that causes the small blood vessels in their skin, joints, intestines and kidneys to become inflamed and bleed. Taylyn has had a serious case of the disease, along with other problems and has already had to have her kidneys removed from her body. Taylyn undergoes dialysis three times a week and will need a kidney transplant in the near future.

It's Reflections time and we had an assembly recently to promote this great opportunity. This is an optional contest, participation is not required. It is held annually by the nation PTA and provides students with an opportunity to showcase art, music, dance, literature, film around the yearly theme, This year's theme is "I am Hopeful because..."
