Student Council Officers, Madilyn Haymore and Austin Young, chose to spotlight our 3rd grade teacher, Mr. Vernon. Here is what they found out:

Position: 3rd Grade Teacher

Favorite thing about Apple Valley: We have a lot of awesome students!

Favorite thing to teach: Reading

Favorite hobby: Golf

Favorite food: Steak

Favorite treat: Anything with peanut butter. He also loves the black licorice ice cream from the Red Barn.

His favorite sport to play is basketball and he loves to watch college football. His favorite place he's been to is Ireland (his wife surprised him with this trip!!) His favorite book is Sword of Shannara by, Terry Brooks and he likes to play Rook. Lastly, they asked if he likes his job and his answer was I LOVE MY JOB! 

I think if you know Mr. Vernon at all, you know that last statement is very true. We are so glad he is here teaching at Apple Valley. Students and facutly, alike, just adore him. He is one of the first teachers here each morning and the last to leave, his class respects and loves him and he is just about the nicest person you'll ever meet! Thank you Mr. Vernon, for all your work and love that you put into teaching each and every day!
