Taryn Brown is a fifth-grade teacher at Apple Valley Elementary School in Santaquin. She has been teaching for 10 years. She received her education at Snow College and UVU. Along with teaching, she is also a mentor teacher to new teachers, the school community council facilitator, and teaches English to children in China.

Taryn is a great toolbox to her colleagues for resources and ideas in improving their teaching or classroom environment. She is always positive and cheerful, no matter what challenges she may be faced with. She is constantly looking for ways to brighten people’s day and make them feel important and cared for.

In her free time, Taryn loves to go on adventures with her family and friends. Her favorite adventure is being at Disneyland with her husband Kolby, and her 4-year-old son, Kash. She is a lover of ranch dressing, school pizza and Cassie’s Cookies.
