    • Fever at 100.4 or greater

    • Chills

    • Cough

    • Runny nose or nasal congestion

    • Sore throat

    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

    • Headache

    • Diarrhea

    • Fatigue

    • Nausea and vomiting

    • Muscle and body aches

    • Recent loss of taste or smell

  • If your student has exhibited any of these symptoms in the last 48 hours, please do not send your student to school.

  • School begins at 9:00 AM and will end at 2:30 PM every day. Breakfast will be served beginning at 8:30 AM for those students who need to eat in the morning. These students will enter the building through the outside lunchroom doors on the north side (rear) of the building.

  • Parents, please do not have your students arrive before 8:50 each morning unless they need breakfast. We do not have large supervised areas for students to gather and maintain social distancing. Therefore, we would appreciate it if students arrive at 8:50.

  • Students can go to their classroom and be in their seats when the first bell rings at 9:00.

  • Please use the drop off lanes for Drop Off Only. If you need to enter the building, please park in a parking stall.

Lunch and Breakfast at the School:

  • Face coverings will not be required in the lunchroom.

  • In order to maintain social distancing the best we can, seating guidelines will be followed. Classes will sit together during lunch and will be spaced out the best we can.

  • Signage helping students know the line flow, as well as where to sit, will be used.

  • Classes and grade level lunchtime will be staggered.

Classroom Instruction

  • Each teacher will be using technology as part of their core instruction.

  • If you have any questions about the technology your students’ teacher is using, please reach out to them.

  • Teachers and students will be sanitizing throughout the school day.

  • If school supplies are to be shared between students and classes they will be sanitized between each use.

  • Desks and students will be spaced as much as possible.

  • Masks or other approved faced coverings will be worn in class.

Face coverings

  • Face coverings will be worn by students and staff.

  • Approved face coverings include facemasks, clear face shields, and neck gators.

  • Please provide a clean face covering for your child each day. Face coverings must be cleaned daily at home.

Office Protocols

  • Excusing your student’s tardy or absence needs to be done over the phone or email (morgan.kinyon [at] nebo.edu) when possible.

  • Parents checking students out early can call the office ahead of time.

  • Parents coming into the school need to come directly to the office to check-in.

  • Please follow the posted entry and exit signs.

Transitions, and School Sanitation, and Other Information

  • Signs and arrows will be placed throughout the school.

  • Designated entry and exit signs will be used in the classroom as well as throughout the school building.

  • For at least the first semester, we will not be holding any large gatherings; this includes assemblies and performances. Students may celebrate their birthday by providing an individually wrapped store bought treat for their class. This treat can be brought by the student or delivered to the office.

  • Classrooms, libraries, take home library books and computer labs will be sanitized each night. All manipulatives, PE equipment, and frequently used items will be cleaned and disinfected regularly.

  • Students will be trained on hand sanitizing.

  • Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of high traffic areas will be done on a regular basis.

  • During outside recess, face coverings are optional.

  • To follow the safety plan, the hallway and drinking fountains will not be available. Please send your child with a small, refillable water bottle that can be refilled at the school.

Sick During School

  • If a student exhibits any of the COVID-19 related symptoms listed earlier, they will be placed in a separate room and parents will be notified.

  • If your student has exhibited any of these symptoms in the last 48 hours, please do not send your student to school.

Classroom /school closure

  • Per state health directives, if there are 3 positive cases in a classroom in a two week period, that class will be quarantined for a period of time.

  • If there are 15 positive cases school-wide within a two week period, the entire school will be quarantined for a period of time.

Please do all you can to follow the plan for safety.
