We had the most amazing assembly on March 1st! The It Pays To Read Assembly was so much fun and the kids loved it! For the whole term, students turned in tickets for each day they read. We had 1,000's!! We are so proud of all our students reading so much! Those tickets then went into our huge drum to hopefully be picked out. When names where called out the students then got to come up to the stage and pick out a book! Some students got drawn out more than once! It was so fun to see how excited they were. Mr. Argyle also had grand prizes! When that students name was picked out of the drum, they then got to pick any 5 people they wanted to shoot baskets. If any of the 5 baskets where made, they picked a prize from our prize tables! The highlight was Mr. Mecham making a half court shot on his first try! The crowd went wild ;) 

Thank you Mr. Argyle for such a fun assembly! We are sure lucky to be apart of Apple Valley Elementary.
