Second graders celebrated the 100th day of school! They enjoyed activities that involved the number 100, compared and contrasted what school is like today with what school was like 100 years ago, and imagined what they will be like 100 years from now.

Apple Valley Second Graders have been learning about money and economics. On Friday, January 18th they participated in a Class Market Day which integrated Social Studies and Math concepts they have been learning about in class. Students took on the role of Producers as they made products to sell, or provided a service to sell. They acted as Consumers when they paid for products or services from their peers with money they earned in class for doing their "job" as a student.
