Dr. Suess Week!

Friday was our last day of Dr. Suess week. It was pajama day, and probably the day everyone looked forward to the most! We were just missing a blanket and pillow!

2nd Grade Patriotic Program

Our darling 2nd graders gave an amazing performance Friday. They started learning these songs clear back in November in music class with Ms. Hoschouer. Students also recited poems about National Symbols, veterans, and independance. They also learned the sign language to The Stars Spangled Banner! How amazing is that? We are so grateful for everyone who contributed to this amazing program. We have the best 2nd graders!

Dr. Suess Week!

Wednesday we had fun wearing our wild and crazy socks and slippers to school! I think we should make this day a weekly tradition, slippers are the best!

Dr. Suess Week!

This week has been Dr. Suess week! We kicked off our celebrations Monday morning with a talent show assembly! And Monday was wear a hat day.

1st and 3rd grade teachers along with the office staff did a synchronized swimming routine. Ms. Smith has quite the bruise from her dive!

2nd grade team had pictures of their faces blown up and preformed a dance routine. You should see Ms. Miller floss!!

4th grade team taught us all the proper way to Netflix and Chill! Ms. Blackhurst made the day passing out popcorn and sodas!

It Pays To Read Assembly

We had the most amazing assembly on March 1st! The It Pays To Read Assembly was so much fun and the kids loved it! For the whole term, students turned in tickets for each day they read. We had 1,000's!! We are so proud of all our students reading so much! Those tickets then went into our huge drum to hopefully be picked out. When names where called out the students then got to come up to the stage and pick out a book! Some students got drawn out more than once! It was so fun to see how excited they were. Mr. Argyle also had grand prizes!

We wanted to remind all 6th grade students and parents that we are now accepting drawings for Apple Valley's first ever yearbook cover!
